Mike Toy developed his interest in photography while living in the Canadian Rockies in the early 1980’s. Following a five-year stint as a commercial photographer in the offshore oil industry he moved to Barbados to pursue more creative avenues. Specialising in architecture and interiors and working for some of Caribbean’s most prestigious hotels and resorts, he has photographed over two hundred private villas throughout the region. He also shoots fashion, underwater, food and stock and contributes regularly to a number of international magazines. To date he has photographed four books and maintains a comprehensive on-line library of Caribbean stock images.
